We often suffocate ourselves with pride,
carrying the struggles and sorrows of a
life meant to be lived in two.

Pride your vulnerability to accept help
when the sweat of a long day turns into tears
that blurs the lenses of your senses

we've fought so hard, and yet here we
are stripping our personalities to make
 change to buy the pride we once had.

So please walk with me, i promise that
if we ever trip over happiness we'll laugh
together as we fall.
